Dr Steer and Erin doing outreach surgery in Fiji

Dr. Steer and Erin have been in Fiji this week doing outreach surgery at the Colonial War Memorial Hospital in Suva. The Fijian people have very limited resources, and do amazingly well to offer the healthcare they do with what is available to them. It always makes me feel extremely grateful for the healthcare system and equipment we have available within Australia. This is now Dr. Steer’s third trip to Suva for outreach surgery, and Erin’s second. We have forged a close working relationship with the local surgeons and nurses, and look forward to continuing to do so for many years to come.
